Dr. Custis began his dental practice in Custer, South Dakota in July 1978. The doctor and his wife, Linda, are both native South Dakotans. They chose to return to South Dakota after his graduation from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago because they wanted the small town way of life. The Custis family has been very thankful over the years for the opportunity to have chosen South Dakota's own beautiful Black Hills as their home. Custer's small town atmosphere and values have made it a great place to live, practice, and raise their two sons, Trent and Tyler. Trent is now a medical student at UCLA and resides in Los Angeles, California; Tyler is an economics major/track athlete for Texas A&M and lives in College Station, Texas. Dr. Custis' commitment to his family, patients, and community has spanned several decades and is something of which he is very proud.
His experience and dedication, as well as an in-depth understanding of today's technology, allows Dr. Custis to offer the latest, most technologically advanced procedures available in South Dakota, and quite possibly the United States. He prides himself in countless hours of continuing education in all areas of dentistry, but his special interests are cosmetics, laser dentistry, computer-engineered one-visit white crowns, and preventative dental health with its correlation to systemic health.
